If your base for plexiglass screens is damaged, broken or lost, you can order separate plexiglass bases via our website. The plexiglass bases are suitable for our standard plexiglass screens of 4mm thick, but can also be used for custom-ordered plexiglass sheets. For this, you have to make a slot in the sheet yourself so that the screen does not fall over.

Plexiglass screens of recycled plexiglass
Plexiglass is already a sustainable material in itself, but did you know that screens made from recycled acrylic (Plexiglass) also exist? In recent months, thousands of plexiglass screens have been installed in supermarkets, offices, shops, waiting rooms, bakeries, butchers, et cetera. We now offer our customers the option to also opt for the recycled variant instead of the screens made of virgin, non-recycled material. These screens are made from Ecocrylic® 70% recycled XT plexiglass. This material has the same properties as the standard variant but has a smaller environmental footprint.
Our Plexiglass bases are available immediately and are made of clear Plexiglass (both XT and GS, depending on availability). The bases are 30 cm long, 100 cm high and are 8 mm thick. The base is suitable for 4mm thick plexiglass screens. The bases are intended to replace broken, damaged bases for our standard Plexiglass screens.
Do you want to use the base for plexiglass sheets that you have custom ordered in the webshop? Keep in mind that a slot of 5cm high, 1cm wide must be made in the sheet. If you don’t do this, the screen will fall over. The base then has no grip. Leave the protective film on both sides of the sheet when cutting. Check the frequently asked questions on our fabrications page for tips on cutting Plexiglass.
The screen may be a bit stiff in the base. This has to do with the thickness tolerance of the material. GS plexiglass has a thickness tolerance of 0.4mm +/- 10% of the nominal thickness. This may cause the screen to be slightly thicker or thinner. The base may leave a scratch on the clear plexiglass screen.
Plexiglass can be very easily recycled after use. If you no longer need your used screen and you want to recycle it, you can always send the screen to us. We then ensure that the screens are recycled through our recycling partner so that our plexiglass producer can produce new plexiglass sheets (Greencast®). In this way, a temporary plastic solution is still a sustainable solution! Pack the used screen and send it to us. Have you sent it, please let us know via the contact form. We cannot refund any money, because we have the screens recycled by an external partner and it cannot be reused as a screen.

The bases have a protective foil on both sides. The foil is often blue-coloured, but sometimes also white or translucent.
This depends on the size of the screen. For a screen of 600x800mm, you use two bases. For a screen of 1200x800mm, you use at least three bases.
Yes, but then you have to cut a slot in the plexiglass sheet yourself. Without a slot, the base does not have enough grip and the screen falls over. The slot should be 5cm high and 1cm wide. The two components click together and will not slip apart.
Are you not able to make your own slot in the material? Then order our standard plexiglass screens. These screens come with bases and have a slot in the material.
No, the bases are only suitable for 3mm or 4mm thick plexiglass screens.
The plexiglass screens are easy to clean with soapy water. Do not clean the screens with a dry cloth, this will make the screen static.
Due to the high demand and urgency in delivery time, the material is not tempered in the oven. As a result, the plexiglass screens cannot be cleaned with rubbing alcohol or Glassex. If you prefer to use this, you can of course, but then you take the risk that stress cracks will appear in the screen from the edge. This does not affect the functionality of the screen.
