The Prism acrylic sheets are made of extruded acrylic (Plexiglass®/pmma) and barely knows any thickness tolerance. These prism acrylic sheets fits fine in your plastic profiles. The structure of the sheet provides a good dispersion of the light source.

    Frequently Asked Questions
    What is acrylic/Plexiglass®?

Acrylic (pmma) is the plastic that is also known as Plexiglass®. Our own brand of acrylic is called Versato®. Acrylic is in the basis 40% colourless, light weight, rigid, practically unbreakable, easy to fabricate and is therefore better than glass in some respects. Acrylic is weather proof, UV stable and does not yellow.

What is the difference between cast acrylic and extruded acrylic?

There are two main types of acrylic, cast (GS) and extruded (XT) acrylic. An advantage of cast acrylic is that it is easy to produce in small quantities, which offers flexibility. Extruded acrylic has the advantage that it hardly knows any thickness tolerance.

When do you choose for acrylic and when for polycarbonate?

Acrylic is optically more pure than polycarbonate. Polycarbonate, on the other hand, is much more impact-resistant than acrylic, but yellows faster.
