PyraSied has the largest stock in transparent acrylic tubes of the Benelux. Acrylic is also known under the brand names PLEXIGLAS® and Perspex®. The extruded transparent tubes can be ordered per full length of 2 meters and half-length of ± 1 meter) in various diameters and wall thicknesses. The acrylic tubes are strong and can be fabricated into an end-product for business clients. It is possible to order cut-to-size tubes by using our saw module. The minimum length for a cut is 100mm with a maximum of 20 cuts. You will always receive the left-over of the tube. Are you looking for larger diameters? Then you can choose cast acrylic (GS). Acrylic GS (cast) tubes are optically purer than extruded transparent tubes. Extruded tubes can contain some extrusion lines.
Extruded (XT) acrylic tubes are in stock in multiple diameters and wall thicknesses. Our clients can order per (half) tube from stock. The XT acrylic tubes are standard in stock with a diameter of Ø 12 – 250 mm with varying wall thicknesses of 2, 3, 4 and 5mm. If you are looking for larger diameters, then you can choose tubes of cast acrylic. Do you prefer XT acrylic? For business clients, it is possible to order larger transparent diameters of XT tubes with a minimum order quantity.
Transparent tubes of acrylic are often used in the machinery industry. These tubes can also be used in the stand- and exhibition building, in the furniture/interior design and mostly for technical applications (reactors). Also known are the water bubble columns, the so-called bubble tube. We can seal the tubes for you waterproof. Acrylic tubes XT are fairly UV stable and weather resistant, but they are not designed for long-term outdoor use. Ultimately they will yellow. For optical applications, we recommend using cast acrylic tubes. For inspiration, please take a look at our Acrylic Community.

There are two main types of acrylic, cast and extruded acrylic. An advantage of cast acrylic is that it is easy to produce in small quantities, which offers flexibility. Extruded acrylic has the advantage that it hardly knows any thickness tolerance.
Acrylic is optically more pure than polycarbonate. Polycarbonate, on the other hand, is much more impact-resistant than acrylic, but yellows faster.
No, we do not have samples available since there are so many variations. You can order a 1-meter tube for testing purposes.
